When my dear friend was diagnosed with the deadliest form of brain cancer, known as "the terminator," his world and that of his loved ones were shattered. With a mortality rate of 100%, doctors gave him only a year to live. Director's statement
Just three days after my friend Peter Snickars received the devastating news that he was battling the most aggressive form of brain cancer, we met and conceived the idea of making a documentary about his fierce fight for survival. From that moment on, I continuously filmed Peter and his family throughout their harrowing journey. I was there for every hospital treatment, every pursuit of alternative therapies, and every desperate search for a miracle, right up until the poignant end.
In this gripping documentary, we delve into the deepest thoughts and emotions of a man confronting his own mortality, the turmoil experienced by a family in the throes of such adversity, and most of all, the unyielding love that sustains hope through the darkest times. My fervent hope is that this film will serve as a beacon of light and support for others who learn that their loved ones are grappling with cancer. - Jan-Olof Svarvar
